CLINICAL PRACTICE

The Clinical Practice takes place at the Outpatient Clinics, Inpatient Wards, Daylily Treatment Hospital Units and at Physiotherapy - Occupational Therapy Department of the General Hospital of Attica "KAT".

Training is carried out in groups of Postgraduate Students under the supervision of experienced trainers, thus enabling students to gain direct experience from the daily clinical practice on the diagnosis and treatment of patients with Spinal Cord injuries.

Clinical examination of patients with Spinal Cord Injury

In this clinical practice, graduate students practice on history taking, clinical examination and patient evaluation.

 

Physiotherapy, occupational therapy and rehabilitation of patients with spinal cord damage

 In this clinical practice, postgraduate students practice on the treatment of patients with spinal cord injury, including physical and occupational therapy techniques by experienced instructors (physiotherapists, occupational therapists, etc.).

 

Treatment of patients with Spinal Cord Injury

In this clinical practice, students practice on the nursing care of patients with Spinal Cord injury, both at the regular outpatient clinic level (outpatients) and at the level of patient care at the Hospital Clinics or at the Daily Treatment  Department (conservative treatment or other techniques ).

 

Imaging – Laboratory exams for patients with Spinal Cord injury.

In this clinical practice, students practice on the imaging techniques (plain X-rays, CT and MRI scans, ultrasounds, etc.) as well as the main laboratory techniques for diagnosing and monitoring these SCI patients.
